One Holiday Dress Three Ways. Look #3: Festive!

Red and green can be such a tired color combination once December arrives.  But mix in a punch of turquoise, and it looks a bit fresher.  Throw on a crazy red puff ball necklace and it screams, "Festive"! And there you have it, my final holiday dress look.  Don't forget to check out my "Fun" & "Fancy" looks too! Hope you enjoyed the posts!

One Holiday Dress Three Ways. Look #2: Fancy!

As I mentioned in my last post, I think it's important to get several wears out of holiday dresses.  Last week I showed you a "Fun" way to wear my green lace French Connection dress.  Today I tweaked it by adding a vintage fur, vintage red shoes and a ton of jewels to make it "Fancy"! Happy holidays Daaah-ling!

One Holiday Dress Three Ways. Look #1: Fun!

Don't you hate it when you invest a good chunk of change in a dress for a special occasion and then only wear it once?  Yeah, me too.  So when I spent $198 on this green lace French Connection number with the intention of wearing it for Thanksgiving, I knew I could tweak it to get several wears out of it!  Today's post shows me wearing it in a way that is bright, colorful and...FUN!

Color Bomb!

When I bought these Else peach jeans (on clearance for $20) at Macy's in San Francisco, I thought they would look good with the basics- white, gold, chocolate brown, etc...But when I started playing around with them in my closet, I realized that it was so much more fun to go for a "color bomb" look!  I  love wearing lots of different shades of the same color.  Like a million different blues, from turquoise to navy, or in this case six different shades of red.  The pants are peach, the jacket is tomato red, the sweater is neon flamingo, the shoes are fluorescent red and the poufs are two different shades of peach.

Tweaked! Summer to Fall Transition

I guess I finally have to accept that summer is over and that it is officially fall (I mean, Thanksgiving is like a week away!)  But what happens when you find a fabulous summer dress on clearance at TJ Maxx for $11 at the very end of the season?  You TWEAK it girlfriend and make it work for fall/winter.  I paired my Band of Gypsies dress score with my most favorite J. Crew jacket in the whole world and piled on the necklaces (real pearls, faux pearls, vintage crystals and my signature F necklace) and cinched it with a belt.
